FAQ
Do I need a referral?
You don’t need a referral to access psychology services. You may decide to pay for your sessions yourself, access private health insurance or use NDIS funding. You may also be able to access funding from your employer through the Employee Assistance Program.
If you do obtain a referral from your GP, along with a mental health care plan, then you may access medicare rebates on fees.
Funding offerred via DVA, TAC and Worksafe require GP referrals to be completed prior to your first appointment.
Do you work with children or adults?
Yes, we work with clients across the lifespan. Individual practitioners may have interest areas related to stages of development. Your referral or enquiry will be directed to the appropriate practitioner.
How Do I access my rebate?
Medicare rebates can be processed electronically via our Easyclaim rebate system, typically within 24 hours. Credit card and EFTPOS facilities are available in the office for payments. Payments may also be made online via direct deposit, BPAY or automatically from a provided debit/credit card.
Can I use my private health insurance?
Yes. You may decide to obtain a quote from your private health insurance to help you decide which form of payment offers you the smallest gap fee.
What assessment will I need?
Your practitioner will complete a general assessment with you in the initial session and discuss a treatment plan with you. You may also request that a particular assessment be conducted and discuss this with your practitioner.
